Over 800 Trenton Public School District staff members reported to Trenton Central High School from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, for professional development day. “Reclaim Your Energy, Passion, and Time” was the theme for this year’s PD day.
There were many exciting opportunities to engage in professional learning sessions and team-building activities. Staff members were able to reconnect with colleagues and former team members who may have moved schools or grade levels during the redistricting.
Staff schedules were broken down by grade level and office departments to ensure appropriate topics and options were available. Various programs ranged from curriculum pilot reviews and trauma-informed care presentations to intro-to-step classes and team-building sessions.

The district is looking forward to implementing two districtwide staff professional development days during the 2023-24 school year.
