New Assistant Superintendent for school support

Trenton Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Julius Clark as the district’s new assistant superintendent of school support, beginning this fall.

Clark brings nearly two decades of experience in public education, with a strong background in instructional leadership, student advocacy and school improvement. He currently serves as principal of Red Bank Regional High School, where he leds initiatives to strengthen academic programs, support professional learning and build inclusive school culture.

A graduate of The College of New Jersey, Clark began his career as a middle school math teacher in Red Bank Borough Public Schools. He was named Teacher of the Year in 2014 and received the Governor’s Educator of the Year Award for his work in the classroom and the broader school community.

He went on to serve as assistant principal in the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District before being appointed principal at Red Bank Regional, where he focused on expanding opportunity and achievement for all students.

Throughout his career, Clark has led efforts in curriculum design, instructional coaching, equity-driven school leadership and student mentoring. His work reflects a deep belief in the power of strong school communities and collaborative leadership to drive student success.

“Clark’s track record of fostering academic excellence and equity, paired with his dedication to supporting educators and students alike, makes him an ideal fit for this critical role,” said Superintendent James Earle. “He brings a unique blend of experience, heart and a deep understanding of what it takes to help schools thrive.”

In his new role, Clark will oversee a range of school support services and work closely with principals, staff and district leaders to ensure that every student in Trenton has access to a high-quality, supportive learning environment.

Clark holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from Fairleigh Dickinson University, along with principal, supervisor and school administrator certifications. He has also contributed to statewide curriculum development efforts and remains committed to advancing equity, inclusion and instructional excellence.

Trenton Public Schools looks forward to the leadership and perspective Clark will bring to the district.
