Boys Basketball
- Antwan Bridgett and Davontay Hutson scored their 1000th point this season. Davontay is very close to being TCHS’s all-time leading scorer
- Trenton High Boys Basketball was invited to play at Kean University against Hillside High School, Trenton won 71-50
- Trenton High won the Mercer County Championship beating Notre Dame High School 64-49
Girls Basketball Team
- Sondjane Daudin was the most valuable player for the team and Xy’Airra Fuerguson is the girls’ basketball scholar-athlete
- The girls’ team was invited to play at Kean University and won the game against Hillside High School in overtime 48-47
- The team qualified for the Mercer County Tournament and the Central Jersey Group 4 State Tournament
Boys Indoor Track
- Mercer County Indoor Track Champions
- CVC Indoor Track ChampionsLeo Sanders 1st Place in 55m hurdles Mercer County Meet
- 1st in the 4X400 meter Relay in the County and 3rd in the State Group 4
- 4X400 relay qualified for the Meet of Champions to be held in NY on March 5: Gabriel Truehart, Deshawn Allen, Rabiah Free, and Vangamun Sheriff
- Scholar Athlete for the Boys Indoor Track is Gabe Truehart.
- The Most Valuable Athletes are Leo Sands and Vangamun Sheriff.
Girls Track
- 3rd place in the 4X400 Relay in the Mercer County Indoor Track Championship-Rukiyat Daranijo, Lynell Thomas, Zunica Zubah, Thomasia Tard
- Qualified for the NJSIAA State Track meet
- 6th place in the 4X400 meter Relay in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Sectional State Track Meet
- Rukiyat Daranijo place 3rd in the 400 meters in the Mercer County Championship
- Mya Pratt is the most improved Girls’ track athlete for indoor track.
- Rukiyat Daranijo represented Trenton High School in Girls in Sports at the State and is the Scholar Athlete with a 4.1 GPA
Wrestling Team
- The team qualified for the County and District Tournaments.
- Princessstorm Woody placed 5th at the county tournament, and 3rd at the NJSIAA Girls Regional tournament. She qualified for the State Tournament and is considered in the top 12 in her weight class.
- Sa’Jada Simmons and Hillary Jones took 4th place in NJSIAA Regionals in their weight class. They are Top 16 in the State in their weight class.
- Yunior Lopez and Christian Reyes both took 4th in the NJSIAA District 22 in their weight class.
- Coach Prunetti received coach of the year for District 22
Coed Swim Team
- Victory over the Ewing High School Swim team 92-58
- The most valuable swimmer was Jacyanna Santiago and Terrance Sinclair
- Scholar Athlete for the swim team is Miguel Hernandez- DelgadoSwim team qualified for Mercer County Tournament
Mindfulness for Athletes
Members of the TCHS Girls and Boys Basketball Team have participated in Mindfulness and Movement Sessions. The sessions provide a structured space for student-athletes to engage in mindfulness and cardiorespiratory practices to assist students in increasing their activity levels and becoming more aware of their thoughts and emotions through mindfulness activities and training.
